So sorry. You must be devastated. I do understand what you mean about a bereavement process as that is how I felt when I was made redundant from HMRC. You will come out the other side. All the best x

I am so sorry for op and the lady who is cabin crew. A very sad day indeed. I was at the Trafford Centre to day and filled up when I saw the TC shop with its shutters down.

Hey Sofiamouse I am from Worthing, I used to be cabin crew for TCX. I am so heartbroken for you and everyone that has lost their jobs, how this has even happened I just don’t understand. I have many friends who were still with the airline and have remained loyal and professional until the very end, I am so sorry to you all.

I have been in your position before- firstly XL airways, and then Zoom airlines, so I completely understand how you are feeling. It’s just awful.

I do also feel for people that have saved hard for their well earned holidays, and I hope many are able to re-book. Good luck to you for the future, stay positive, I hope something good comes from this for you 💛

Sending hugs, we have booked for years at the Cardiff branch, we classed the staff as our friends as they always gave us great advice and a better price than online. we exchanged xmas cards etc. my 1st thoughts were for them and the rest of the lovely TC staff. we can claim our deposit back for April 2020 so not a big deal in the scheme of things, but losing a job under these circumstances is just heartbreaking. take care.

I’m so sorry. Good lesson though. However much you may feel loyalty etc, it absolutely counts for nothing.

When you accept that you are a worker and the money people run the show, it makes life far easier

I'm so sorry for you and all the TC staff who have lost their jobs.
It's clear from your post how much you enjoyed your job and how much you thought of your colleagues.
We were on the 6.15 pm flight from Orlando on Sunday and it was heartbreaking to see the cabin crew in tears as we left the plane.
I wish you and all your colleagues at TC all the very best for the future.

Wishing you all good fortune in finding new employment and new happiness

A nice local news story - we have a community forum and one lady posted that she was now out of work from TC and had 15 years experience in customer service and office management, she said she was embarrassed about posting but was hopeful that someone may know of anywhere that needed staff.
Within an hour, someone replied saying that they needed an office manager to start immediately and asking them to get in touch - really hope it works out for her
