So pleased to hear the Georgia has had a better week and that she has found some friends to meet up with.
Mel - fantastic view, good luck to your DS for his exams. You must be getting so excited to see him.
Ked - Fingers crossed for Kate, let’s hope it went better than what she thought.
Ben has been getting on well, he has 3 essays to hand in during the next couple of weeks so is beginning to panic slightly about them. He hasn’t been out a lot but has arranged to go out tomorrow night so hopefully that will encourage him to go out a bit more.

Good that Georgia is settling in to uni life. Molly is really enjoying herself, she came home Friday for hair done, tattoo, Sunday lunch and to give her liver a rest 😂 her words.
She has met some good friends on her course and gets on really well with 1 of her flatmates, 1 is never there and 2 don't drink so she feels bad when she has friends round for Pre's but they say they don't mind as they try to be respectful ! The course is hard work but she is enjoying it so far. She has applied for accommodation for her placement in Newcastle so is waiting to hear about that. It has been lovely seeing her as she doesn't get a reading week off.

That’s a spectacular view from his hike. Here’s some photos from Georgia’s walk in Bath today

Isn’t it good to see how exciting their lives are becoming? I bet you are so excited about your visit now xx

Kate’s also has a better week, she’s started her new course and is really happy with her new choice. There are some nice people on the course that she thinks she can be friends with.
She’s been on a shop crawl around Aberystwyth today and going on a dog walk tomorrow but still isn’t going out in the evenings. I’m hoping she’ll start soon!
Kate has her Universal interview yesterday but think she messed it up, she doesn’t think she sold herself as well as she could have and kept saying “like” at the end of every sentence, she never usually does this!
That’s great news that Kate is enjoying her course now and making friends too. Georgia is going dog walking next Sunday as she has joined a dog walking society too 😀 The walking groups seem to be a very sociable way of making friends. Georgia isn’t keen on nights out really, but she is feeling a little more comfortable doing this now she has made a few more friends so maybe Kate will soon too.

Fingers crossed that the Universal interview went better than she thought, I’m sure they make allowances for nerves. Saying like at the end of the sentence is very Welsh, so probably a result of her university location 😂 My son lives in Swansea and does this so much too.

The workload does seem to be getting a lot more now, I do hope Ben copes one with the essays. 3 essays in a few weeks does sound a lot. I hope he enjoys his night out too. Georgia actually said she enjoyed the pub much more than she expected to and would go again with her flatmates. I think she didn’t expect them to play Uno and chat. Sadly in our area teens often go out to just get drunk and this has put Georgia off going, she enjoyed the company of her flatmates, who did drink, but also did other things to socialise

So pleased you had a good weekend with Molly, I hope her liver is recovered now 😂 Georgia has said her flatmates are very respectful of her not drinking and if they are in the kitchen drinking they aren’t too loud and clean up after themselves. I hope Molly gets good accommodation and roommates in Newcastle now too

Thanks everyone! I can’t believe it is almost here. Just three days left at work and then my boy 🥰 I haven’t seen him for 9 weeks!

She loves Bristol as a city and is enjoying going out herself there. She is visiting a museum today alone. I said she should ask her couple of friends if they want to go too, but she says it wouldn’t be their thing 😔

I think she is a little worried at how early they have to commit to a house share for year two, both in finding suitable house mates and financially committing to year two rent especially if they aren’t entirely settled
My dd lept into a new house for year two very quickly and then regretted it. She had to spend her second year living with people she didn’t like which was hard on all sides.

I would hold off for a while. The private dorm rooms won’t fill up straight away as some first years won’t be getting offers until next August so there will be places to live later.

DD is home for the weekend again. It’s lovely to see her but I wish she was at uni having fun.

She’s loving the course, she’s getting on well with lots of her course mates and has one really close friend in her flat. They have really bonded but sadly she goes home every weekend and doesn’t come back until Tuesday as she has no lectures on a Monday. She’s probably unlikely to stay next year.

DD has been out a lot, sometimes with her flat and sometimes with her course so I can’t say she’s not trying. She says she just feels that she can’t imagine being away for three years.

She has seen a student advisor and is going to apply to transfer closer to home for her second year. It doesn’t commit her to anything but at least it gives her options.
