Behind this one race, there's hundreds of hours and miles of hard work, sweat, blood, tears and dedication. Just unreal what can be achieved once you set your mind to it. 💪🏃🏃 And just imagine the pressure he was feeling yesterday 😬

Not to take away from the quite unbelievable feat of endurance - and I say this as someone who pulled a muscle recently tucking his shirt in! - am I alone in not quite getting teary-eyed at this compared to say a Roger Bannister or a Bob Beamon or a Jesse Owens? Maybe the 41 pacemakers, lasers showing him where to run, the prototype running shoes not available to anyone else currently, the specially built piece of road, a specially selected location for optimum oxygen levels and the billionaire backing sucked the romance out of it for me. Think Sir Roger had an exam in the morning, walked to the track, did a couple of Star jumps to loosen off and then set his mark whilst some guys in duffle coats held a stopwatch. Changed days.

But if you are old enough to have ever read the Victor comic, you'll recall Alf Tupper ran at this kind of pace every week and solved an armed robbery or captured escaped prisoners in the middle of the race as well!😂 Now that was impressive
