No more take aways (ever)
With immediate effect I will no longer be having any more take aways, with the only exception being the occasional Nandos.
We had an Indian take away a couple of weeks and my family were saying how brilliant the reviews were for a restaurant we hadn't tried before, and despite not having an Indian take away for a very long time I went with it, and the food wasn't very good at all, and I had an unsettled stomach for a few days after. The reviews from people about a kebab shop were great, so we just had a lamb shish, and at £8.95 each it was not good. Tough lamb and pitta bread that was so hard in places it was inedible. I virtually stopped having take aways years ago (with a couple of exceptions- nandos being one), and now I know why! Either I am overly fussy or people are happy to pay for overpriced rubbish take aways. Sunday afternoon rant over |

We rarely do takeaways- if not cooking at home, we tend to eat in the restaurant itself; not hard in the likes of London.
If we do takeaway, it is from somewhere we’ve eaten before & not based on on-line comments for somewhere we don’t know. Edited at 09:25 PM. |

We don’t do takeaways either, we occasionally used to have a chinese but since I’ve been diagnosed with coeliac there aren’t any takeaways (or at least any near me) that I can eat from.
We prefer to eat out at Nando’s, other than that it’s just home cooked food from scratch! |

We rarely have a takeaway but on the odd occasion we do it’s from one we’ve used before and know we like.
Never gone by online reviews, only personal recommendations. Now we know the ones we like we stick to those anyway if ever we get one. |

We’re really lucky to have an award winning Indian takeaway and great kebab/pizza place too near us. Sorry to hear you’re not so lucky.

Closest thing I've had to a takeaway, for years, is the Chinese bag from Waitrose!

Yes we don't do takeaways, overpriced lukewarm greasy food, you have made an excellent decision MH

The OP should move to rural France, takeaways of any description don't exist.
