I am probably the worst case - stay offsite - never at parks early and my 1st job is to go round the parks and get the FP.
I really hope by the time we go in Sept they have opened fp+ advance booking to offsite - even if only a week in advance - I don't want to stand in line to get another pass to stand in line - I never found the lines at the old FP terminals too long and the process was very quick - not like the new one with CM and ipad.

With a 2 year old grandson, we will be visiting Disney in the future - but I won't be going back to hotel accom. May look at DVC, very undecided.

I know you shouldn't knock something until you've tried it but I really wish you could opt out and still stay on site

Our touring style means park hopping and lots of fp's usually 6-7 a days (moderate time of year). This is going to seriously effect us... Not in a good way. Add to that a band I won't want to wear and I'm not a happy camper! I can see why it would help those in peak times though... I'm just not one of em!

Sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by opt out. How would that benefit you?

I don't want a band, I want a normal ticket like offsite guests so I can use the machines ... While it lasts anyway

We were given bands and kttw cards. You don't have to wear the band if you don't want to, just get it out of your bag as you would with a kttw card. There aren't any old FP machines to use any more in AK and MK - they're fp+ only and EP and HS will follow suit soon, so it makes no difference to that side of things as paper fastpass will no longer exist.

I thought all the ordinary fast pass machines are away now?

Darn I was hoping some parks would still have them. Handy to know about the cards though, that solves the minor issue of tan lines ;p

Hi guys haven't been on here for ages but have a trip booked. I have some questions:

Are there no normal fastpass machines now?

Are the normal queues going to be huge now if so many people can pre book?

Any idea when the fastpass+ will be available to everyone and not just guests?

From my perspective, as an offsite visitor, it's currently meaning I'm spending less with Disney because of FP+. I've reduced the number of days on my tickets and I've reduced the style to base instead of Hopper.

Instead Busch, Discovery, Seaworld, Aquatica, Universal and IOA have all found their way on to the schedule. I'm sure Disney wanted the opposite and for people like me to ditch their Accommodation plans and book on site but things are not that easy to change when you already own something else. Instead it will be Disney that get less of my $.

We used to work the FP system to the tune of 6-7 (in at rope and out at close) a day and I'm not looking forward to grabbing what's left on the day itself when others have been picking at them for upto 60 days!

Here now. Fast pass + has worked out to be a benefit to us so far. Staying offsite in a villa. We are early morning people and like to be at the park for opening. This visit we have found there have been far fewer people at opening so most if not all rides were walk ons. It seems a lot of people are sleeping in and booking fast pass times for later in the day.
