Take your own princess dress or buy it there?
My 6 year old is booked for Bibbidi Bobbidi and I was wondering do we take our own dress from Disney Store here or do we wait and get it over there?
I have no idea about price/quality differences between the UK and the US dresses? No clue what hairstyles they offer and what would look the best. |

If you google BBB you will be able to see the hairstyles, some are less harsh than others!
My dd had the one that came with a curly hairpiece so even though still all scrapped back within an inch of its life, the curls softened it a bit! I think it's nice for them to pick their own dress as part of the experience but a lot do take their own dresses. A lot of people say the dresses there are itchy but my dd was fine with hers on all day. She had Sleeping beauty and I think it's lovely quality. It's different to the one sold in most of the other shops, I saw the same one in EPCOT but not at DTD

We took our own, I preferred that as it was a bit different to what all the other girls were wearing and so she got lots of comments from CMs about her special dress.

Am I going to struggle to brush her hair later? Is it solid with hairspray? ;-)

I'd say it also depends on the dress she wants. The Belle dress in the UK is better, as is Merida (in my opinion) Watch out for the UK dresses having long sleeves though. She won't want to wear it if she's hot and uncomfortable P wanted Jasmine so we bought it out there (and it's gorgeous!). She went for the scraped back bun look which lasted all day. The next day I just took the bun bit out as it was falling apart and she wore it as a high ponytail with the little tiara

Yeah good point on sleeve length LL - she wanted Elsa - and that's looooong sleeve so she could end up boiling.
She keeps changing her mind - maybe we wait till we get there.. and save room in our suitcase |

The first time we did BBB we bought a Rapunzel dress from the Disney store at Florida mall. It was beautiful and wasn't available in the UK at that time (wedding style one) and much cheaper than paying for the top package at BBB.
Second time we took our own, it did take up a lot of room in her case though! This year I'm not sure as we're staying onsite and wont be driving, so might have to go for full package at BBB. DD will have to put some out of her Bday money if she wants it that much! |

Silly question - do we tip at BBB in the same way you would at a restaurant?

We took our own. Not sure what we'll take this year as dd also wants to be Elsa but her asda dress is so long I'm not sure it's the best idea.
As for tipping we did but can't remember how much.
