We are city people rather than beach or scenery lovers so I'm sure we could fill a couple of days doing stuff. There seem to be a lot of musicals on which suits us!
Thinking maybe 1 day for Universal, 1 day for exploring and a show, maybe 1 day to Santa Monica, then the ABD stuff would kick in. Or there some 1-day Cali coast trips on Expedia. I wonder if ABD would extend our booking so we could book into Loews Hollywood a few days early? Nice as it would be to see San Fran or Vegas, it adds considerably to the cost. Making it 4 nights LA and 5 nights ABD seems (relatively) affordable.

Devil's advocate...
If you're going for such a short trip (I consider that short for the West Coast where you may find jet lag impacts you a lot more than the East coast (apologies if you knew that already) I'd really want to see as much as possible. I think that's way too long in LA when there is so much other stuff on your doorstep (if you're going all that way - what's an extra 45 minute flight?) It shouldn't cost more if you book flights as multi city?

We don't drive though, which could make things a bit more difficult.
Suggestions gratefully received!

Still no problem
Will come and update later, but suggest checking out a few trippies where they had no car - off the top of my head, Hannikins and Princess Chazy (probably loads of others) They visited quite a few places but no reason you couldn't do ABD, Anaheim for Disneyland and another destination (not LA). Have a look, see what you think? I'm a city fan too, but that would be waaaaay too long in LA for me. Especially when there are so much better (in my opinion) options nearby.
