I'd say that is the case for the majority of hotels in Vegas unless you stay in a suite with kitchen facilities.
It is one of the reasons I prefer places like the Signature suites so we can have a drink in the room if we choose to.

We've just booked it! Taking my step son for his 21st and he chose it. We have booked the forum tower and this is the closet to the strip and got the best reviews when researching it!

Caesars is a bit of an vegas icon, however...
Make sure you know exactly what room you are booking. Caesars is one of the oldest properties on the strip. It has had multiple towers added to it one (Octavius) opened recently and the rooms are large, modern and well appointed but the older towers have been left behind in the renovation stakes and it could mean you end up with the dusty old tower that hasn't seen any renovations in years. Think of it as about 5 hotels (towers) in one.

I've always found it way to busy, its just a ballache to get anywhere in there
The Gordon Ramsey restaurant in there is fantastic

Always visit the Forum shops obviously the Cheesecake Factory! I also think they have some of the nicest 'free' cocktails on the Strip!
