We stayed at the Luxor in 2011 and loved it, we stayed in a tower room which was way too big for us but enjoyed it all the same I don't think its too far from the strip as it is connected to the Excalibur via a walk way, I would recommend the Luxor to anyone who was thinking of going there

The Luxor is on The Strip. You can't get much closer to The Strip than actually being on it.

We stayed at the Luxor in September. We stayed firstly in the Pyramid rooms which we liked, however at night it started to rain and the windows were leaking in so we were moved to the Tower rooms, with an excellent view. We did prefer the Tower as the rooms felt bigger and lighter, although the Pyramid was ok too. We liked staying at the Luxor, the staff were nice and helpful and the place was clean. We soon found our way up and down the strip making use of the Deuce bus service.

we stayed at the Luxor 19th March this year for 10 days... we had a great time we went against opinion and emailed the guest services to ask for a high floor pyramid room as opposed to a tower room we got a room with a view and that did us proud super room looking north on 27th floor. So go for it.

Just got back from Luxor yesterday and found the hotel to be clean well located and the staff were very helpful.
We had a pyramid room and liked the slanted wall and its theming. We didn't eat there as we were out exploring all day. Easy to get to north strip we either walked through internal walkway to exacliburor took free monorail then walked up which we enjoyed as we got to feel the strip. There is a monorail from mgm if you wanted to use it. Yes it may not be as sparkly as some but neither is it as expensive, also I found some of the bigger hotels too big it took us forever to get across the casino of the mgm I wouldn't have wanted to walk that every morning on fight night it took us 40 minutes to get out Also I know daytonababe had hassle with the timeshare people there but we didn't really get any hassle, they were in suits and we just sad no thanks as they started to speak and they walked off, it was no worse then any other of the hotels for that. I was happy with our experience and would be happy to stay there again. Xx |

We stayed there in February this year as we got a great deal there and it was fine. It's not as glamorous perhaps as some of the newer hotels but was clean and comfortable. No wifi in the room, only in the public areas. Location certainly wasn't an issue as it was so easy to get around.

Love all the manderlay bay & MGM signature replies - obviously they are nowhere near the price of the Luxor
I've stayed there three times and would have no problems staying there again. Last year the internet wasn't working in our room and they moved us to another and comped us one hundred bucks
