Vegas - Couple of Q's !
Hi All
I have been saving on the QT for the last 10 months to bring hubbie on a surprise trip to Vegas in April 2015. We were there for 2 days on our honeymoon 13 yrs ago and since then he has longed to go back! We are off to Orlando in Aug 2015 with the children so I am just saving each week on the quiet hoping I have enough by next March! So to help me estimate how much I need can anyone help me with any of the following questions : 1. Flights from Dublin end of April - what price? & when to book? 2. As per a recommendation here I hope to book the Palazzo or the Venetian. We are not going to get the opportunity to go again till the kids move away from home so I need to book somewhere really nice but affordable! So how do I get the best price to stay here? Do I watch their website or should I be looking at the likes of expedia etc? I hope to stay 4 nights from a Monday - Friday last week in April 2015. 3. How much would I need for 4 nights stay for food? Just a rough idea. I persume you eat out for brekkie/lunch & dinner? Thanks in Advance!

Depends on where you want to eat we don't have expensive tastes so can easily manage on $100 a day for breakfast and evening meal , but a buffet on the strip at night for 2 could easily cost $80-90 for two with drinks .
As for hotels the best deals are usually 3-6 months in advance and it's best to check the hotel and also brokers like hotels.com, lowcostusa etc as all have different prices. |

I have booked to stay at the Palazzo for a week this year. I always book DIY but this year opted for a package holiday with British Airways, as the flights were so expensive anyway, it meant we got the Palazzo cheaper (as you get more discount when booking flights and hotel together). If I had booked separately we would be staying in a lot cheaper hotel!
I also agree with $100 a day per couple for food, that is what I'm taking with me this year. Hope this has helped

Thank you both, thats great! $100 a day more or less is grand! Hubbie will want to spend a bit of time in the casino so have to allow for that too! If we hadnt Florida booked I wouldnt mind but just have to be careful!
So I can relax about hotel unless I see a deal! What sort of money should 4 nights cost? Its hard to judge at the moment because lookinga their site Im requesting a price for this week and its working out v expensive. So flights are the main concern. So its a year away this week so should I be checking from the 330 day slot or should I be watching particular sales? We cant fly direct from Dublin so we will have to go thru London with BA or Virgin.

Well i only book in sales, i couldn't go so often if i didn't.
I usually fly at the end of Feb and book in the Xmas sale and pay £550 ish...that's direct with VA from Gatwick , i'd imagine there are similar prices to be had for October. btw $100 covers food for the 4 of us, but we are just as happy to eat in Dennys and off strip where prices are much better, next year when DH & I go without the kids i don't plan on spending more than $70 per day. |

Sign up to smarter Vegas.com (sorry, kindle doesn't want to copy links today!) If you book on a rate you can cancel, then keep an eye out for cheaper deals. I cancelled and rebooked the vdara 3 times!
