Confused Disney first timer
Hi DIBB!
First timer here! This past year has been a nightmare for our family and with 2 young kids (10yo & 6 yo) we thought Orlando was the perfect place to say “Well Done & Thank you!” So we booked 8/8 - 18/8 Currently we are looking at Magic Kingdom & Disney Hollywood Studios (would like to see Epcot fireworks in the evening too?) Then Universal Orlando Resort & Universal Volcano Bay But I’m confused as to the best & most cost effective way to go forwards here? I would really appreciate your help! Abugill x

Welcome
You might get more responses posting your questions in the tickets section. But if you only want a few days at Disney, it's pretty expensive as the per day price gets cheaper the longer you're there. A two day Disney park hopper ticket (which you'll need to see the fireworks) is around £275 per person through Undercover Tourist, or £340 per person for 3 days. These tickets don't include Memory Maker (ability to download photos taken by the photographers throughout the parks) which will cost about another £50-150 depending whether you purchase it for all days or not. For Universal, assuming you're spending the rest of your time there, the best option is to purchase the UK 14 day tickets as they're much the same price as a 3 day park to park ticket. These are around £265-285 per person, depending which supplier you go through. Edited at 05:05 PM. |

Getting excited

Hi welcome to the DIBB, all as above, we have sometimes missed Universal to keep costs down as we are big on Disney, passes are expensive and here in UK we are lucky enough to have the 14 day ones, I like Seaworld so do Discovery Cove as that then gives allows you to use Seaworld on same ticket, think about what you would like to ask and just put it in that Forum 🙂 Although I always end up in wrong one 😀

Welcome to the Dibb
Have you though about maybe just doing either Universal or Disney on this trip Tickets for both are going to be expensive With children your age I personally would just do Disney There is more than enough to do in Disney for the length of time you are there Buying tickets for just a few days is a LOT more per day than buying a longer length of ticket Factor in the heat of August ( we have done August many times while our Daughter was little) and you may want some pool down time |
