Avis Preferred

I am due to arrive in MCO next Wednesday and have never used AVIS Preferred before. When I land, do I log into the app and it should let me skip the queue?

Or will I still need to go to the desk? TIA.

If it’s your 1st rental your name won’t be on the board in the garage. You can either go to the desk in the terminal or go to the desk in the garage. The queue is normally shorter at the garage.

its signposted as you come out of the terminal bud, just follow signs saying car rentals and as you get closer it tells you what floor each car companies on, we rented off Avis the other day and I can't even remember lol but think it was A at a guess on the lower floor!

I always go to A side and use Avis, it’s on the 2nd floor in US but in the UK it would be classed as the 1st fooor but u follow signs once u leave the terminal cross the sidewalk and up the elevator and it’s a short walk to the little hut they have where they will check your licence and credit card and you may have to hand over your car hire voucher if you have booked thru 3rd party like BA and they will allocate you a car , you can also choose to prepay for your fuel there too

Hi Andy, just wondered if you could update with your experience? It's my first time with Avis too...

Did you head straight to the garage?

We normally go with Alamo and use the skip the counter so hoping for the same experience with Avis

If u have an Avis preferred account and linked it to your booking then you can go straight to the office in the garage, your name won’t be on the board so you will need to go to the office and they will look over your rental agreement swipe your credit card and look at your licence ( you can pre pay fuel there if u want) you will them be told what bay to collect your car at, ensure they haven’t charged you for any extras before you leave I always ensure a zero balance apart from
My fuel which I prepay for

Query to tag onto this.

Does it matter which side you go to? VTP is side A but think we want side B for access to exit for Championsgate route.

If the car is allocated, surely there's a side you have to go to collect? Can't see anything in the confirmation.

Your car will be allocated on either A or B so if you go to the opposite side it doesn’t matter they will still sort you out with a car so just use B if that’s closest to the route you want
