Margaret I am so so sorry to hear about your husband. I was in your position last year and understand how you are feeling. Those first few days I was in shock and so frightened about how I would cope. I was literally going through the motions as I felt I had to keep things moving for my kids but the temptation was to stay in bed and hide forever.
Firstly, try not to look to far ahead. It becomes too overwhelming and there are too many things to think about. For now just deal with things on a daily basis. Cry whenever you need to, it’s a really good release and afterwards you will feel calmer. There is plenty of help with the practical side of things and I will try to advise if there is anything I can do. There will be good days, bad days and ok days but as time goes on the bad days will become fewer. Message me anytime, I might not be able to stop your hurt but I can listen. I was lucky I had amazing friends including one or two on here who just let me know they were there. That was so important as i knew I could talk whenever I needed to. You will cope and you will get stronger at each step. You will surprise yourself but for now just concentrate on getting yourself through each day Sending you love and strength Edited at 12:53 AM. |
