We were there a couple of weeks ago and didn't, it was during the week and the pubs were very busy. We had a fabulous time, Enjoy.

Depends where you want to go. The popular places are fully booked until after Christmas at the weekends from what I could see. They might take some walk ins but I haven’t found this to be the case.

I have booked The Ivy, Panda and Son and The Cellar.

We booked for the Boozy Cow (highly recommended, by the way) at the back end of October.

We were there on Saturday for afternoon tea. We wanted to go to the bar afterwards but it was too busy and they wouldn't let us stay. There were people piling in to take pictures and noone could get out, it was quite scary.

They eventually opened the revolving door right up to clear the entrance.

Everywhere was mobbed, we couldn't get in anywhere, even into the market, they were limiting numbers going in but the queue to get in was packed tight so we decided not to bother.

Make sure you book some places, though, and you will be fine.

We arrived yesterday and really struggled to get in pubs, loads full. Was gutted. Trying again today, going to go to market for opening.

Going to the pantomime on Tuesday ( not the one at Holyrood starring Wee Nippy though)
