Will BA transfer seat reservations to a change of date?

Hi folks

So I was delighted as could be for flight prices I paid for next year, my husband had just been informed his rotation is changing 😩

We hoped best case he would be home few days earlier meaning our original dates would fit in but he would be straight away to work on return.

But no it’s worst case and virtually back to back to his original dates.

Anyway to get to my question, I paid to book seats on Aberdeen flights, BA kindly allocated us seats on the Orlando flights out of goodwill, if I change dates will my seats reservations transfer over too, even if different seat numbers?

We are looking at around £1500 more for flights for July 😩😩

Have you tried calling BA? I called them this morning as soon as lines opened and got thru in 15minutes so wasn’t to bad least that way you wil get a definitive answer

No they won't. If you have paid for seat selection you should get a refund and you will have to pay for seats on the new flights.
