I didn’t have it do anything , I spoke to ATD on the phone at around 11, and paid for the upgrade , I then got an e.mail just after 4 saying my new tickets had been dispatched ( they told me new ones would be sent out as the bar coding on the ones I had wouldn’t show Genie + ) but If I logged into MDE it would reflect the change .
I logged in and went to my ticket section and it was all there .

Omg I literally just received this message over the MDE app chat

“Disney genie plus cannot be added pre arrival to the 14 day ultimate tickets. You may add genie plus for the day on each day you’d like to use it”
I mean what does that actually mean and that is the 3rd different thing that a person at Disney has told me! 😡

Have you thought of changing your tickets to Magic Tickets that’s include the Genie + ? Or would that cost more ?
I cannot understand why you are having so many issues , it I would imagine switching to Magic Tickets would solve it all .

Have just been on the phone to Disney and he basically said I can see your upgrade on your account .. it’s ages till you go … don’t worry about it 🙄😵≈💫🙈

I just tried to add genie plus to my trip for 2021 but they said you can't add it from the Uk. Is that correct

For 2021 tickets, yes. Apparently they can add it on manually at the ticket centre once you're there. My guess is the add-on has only been made available on 2022 dates.
