Great news Sue!

Do you have to go through hotel quarantine, or are you visiting a state that will allow you to quarantine with your family, or are free to circulate immediately?

I recently read that Queensland were only allowing Australian citizens and permanent residents to quarantine at home from 17th December, with other arrivals still having to go to a hotel quarantine for two weeks.

Thanks Bozza.
They opened it up to parents or children of Australian citizens without need to quarantine, we need to provide contact details is all.
Going to Melbourne, no restrictions. Masks only mandatory indoors for shopping but not for cafes and restaurants. This restriction due to be lifted Dec 15th.

Fantastic!

I worked for an Aussie company for a number of years HQed in Melbourne, so visited a fair bit. It's an incredibly city, particularly when you get to leave the British winter behind!
