Help
Hi
we are going on our 1st 3 night cruise to the Bahamas A few questions I need help with 1- Early or late dining? Which is better? 2 -We want to keep our hire car. Do we need to pre-book parking at the port? 3 - Has anyone pre-booked activities in Nassau? do you recommend any? Love Olaf xx |

Hi Olaf
Sorry I can't be of much help - we're doing our 1st 3 day cruise also in October. We're going for the early dining, think it'll be better for our kids... they're likely to eat better early on. We're wondering about Nassau aswell - not sure whether to get off the boat or stay on. We're thinking about a visit to Atlantis - but works out quite expensive, as there's 5 of us. Not sure about the parking, we're wanting to keep our car aswell. Really looking forward to it, can't wait for October.

Hi
For dining, neither is better or worse, it's all about personal preference. If you have early dining, you'll go to see the show afterwards while the late diners are eating. They watch the show while you're eating. What time do you generally eat at home, or when you're on a different holiday? Remember that there is food available at all times, so it's not like you have to wait until 8pm for food! If you want to keep your car, you have 2 choices. Either park right at the port and pay more, or for around half the price, you can use a gated car park that will shuttle you to the port in with their charge. Official is here: PC parking official (cannot pre-pay any longer). Unofficial 1: Park n Cruise Unofficial: Park PC For Nassau, most experienced cruisers would probably say to stay on the ship and enjoy it as your cruise is so short. I am definitely in that camp. Honestly, a 3 night cruise is so quick, there is no need to cram in more things. If you really want to get off, just walk through the straw market (get ready to say 'no thanks' to lots of people who will try to sell you their wares on the way through. Take a peek, then get back on the ship. Have fun Joa
