My wife and son described it as very easy when they used it a few weeks ago and that was their first ever Uber experience. They’re not around at the moment to ask specifically where they got into the taxi but I’m sure someone will advise.

We didn't use Uber from the airport but did use it for the remainder of the holiday. If you google MCO it will tell you exactly where to wait for the uber dependant upon what type of vehicle you request

Yes, you can now get an Uber pickup at MCO on arrival, it’s very easy.
Just call it when you’ve got your bags in the main terminal if arriving on a domestic, from Dublin or if using the bag drop from international arrivals. If you have your bags already on the transit train, call it when the train reaches the main terminal. Uber X/XL pick up curb side on level 2 (there are pickup areas at either end of the terminal, I used the one near the exit by carousel 19/20 but you can select either via the app), Uber Select picks up on level 1 near the car rental.
