Plus, if any one is interested in this tip - we pre booked the wine package and paid up front in ££ on our cc online: with the exchange rate the way it is we saved about 10% on the week, I think. At an exchange rate of aobut $1.60 its about breakeven but at $1.45 its worth doing if you know you're going to drink wine every night.
Can i ask how u book the wine package? My mum is going on Mariner of the Seas next month and is interested in doing this. She booked through a travel agent but they never told her about any drinks package. can u advise how to go about it? Thanks

Thanks for the extra tips and prices guys

mrsgilles2b - YOu can book the wine package online with RCI. Just use the booking reference to log into the site and you can pre-order on there. You can also book your excursions, soda packages, gists etc all online too

Yes, its all on there. You have to first select to see the different types of package - different grades have different costs. Off the menu, the average bottle of wine is about $28 to $33 and by booking in the lowest end package you get that down to about $25 but ti does depend on the exchange rate as you pay now in ££.
