So as you look at the boat from the rear, Starboard is on your right side. As Bats said, Boats usually dock at Castaway backwards, so the Starboard view is deemed as nicer to see the beaches. I would add though, if your serious about your comment being anxious, deck 10 may make you feel worse than a lower floor, which is closer to the water, but you dont have so much fear of it being such a drop! Or, what about an inside room? Usual rule of cruise boats if you suffer with sea sickness, stay low and central! 👍

I should have read this before suggesting inside cabin! With your fear of water, i would seriously consider a rear veranda room! Balconys are deeper, so you can still go out there without feeling too exposed to the sea beneath you, and from decks 7 and up, due to the angle, you look vertically down onto the deck below, not the water. You still get a great view in and out of castaway cay too!

Rein is right that if you want to feel 'safer' the higher decks are definitely not the place to be.
My other reason for not choosing to be below the pool deck is that chairs and loungers are dragged across the floor at all hours (cleaning decks at 4am!) so I'd avoid it like the plague unless I had no choice. Deck 5/6/7 are nice for verandas and if you do want to go to the back (aft) for the bigger verandas, choose from the following: 7688, 8682 or 9760 which are all on the starboard (right) side, or there's 8184 and 7190 on the port (left) side. These are category 5e rooms so are not the cheapest veranda at all, but they are great. Most have a wet room rather than a bath but they're lovely (we had 9670 before). You do feel more motion here though and you also feel the vibrations of the bow thrusters as the ship docks - it's not something that bothers us and it may not bother you, but you should be aware.
