Fabulous stuff! Did you get a good deal? Sorry for being nosey but I really want to cruise from the UK next year. On Royal Caribbean if I can help it.
You will love it. I have sailed on the Independence's sister ship the Liberty of the seas - Both identical apart from bed linen colour and wall paper! I did a full trip report which you can find here http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=249996
Happy planning

I have been checking the price of our cruise , booked with Thomas Cook and havent seen it lower than what we paid yet , but how do you know exactly what price is now being offered for the cabin youve booked ,as you cant put in your booked cabin number as its obviously not there any more ,( hope that kakes sense ) and cabins are all differant prices even when they are the same cat ?

Also sailed on the mariner of the seas a couple of years ago , which is in the same class of ship as the navigator , again mariner was a fantastic ship with loads to do , was still finding places on the ship at the end of the cruise , we just cruised n.c.l. This week and we think our preference now is with r.c.c.l ships.

you can keep a eye on prices on the rc website and the cabins are all colour coded on the deck plans according to the category you booked

for example
if you book a balcony stateroom and see another balcony offered cheaper of the same cat then you can apply for that price drop, it doesn't have to be the same number just the same stateroom category, first you need to know what category room you have booked and then using the RC website it's very easy to put a dummy booking in to check if they are cheaper and to show what's available, it only take 2 mins max

i signed up for the RC newsletter and they sent a email offering all balconies on my sailing at a certain special offer price, knowing i paid more it prompted me to look and hey presto i saved myself £160
