wow! thankyou for this fab thread op!
we booked yesterday for oct 13 with free qsdp and was just mooching around to see if i could get any idea to what people thought of food, maybe pics, ideas of what sort of things we could get.
we are very much 'foodie' people and i was a little concerned that it would be all fried/crap but the price getting free dining meant we could stretch to it... your post has very, very much reassured me and has us most looking forward to it!

Great thread Bev .It's a shame that alot of people tend to think of the QSDP as only being hot dogs, burgers and chicken nuggets.

ETA,how many pieces of fish do you get at Cooke's?.

Edited at 03:09 PM. Reason: asked a question

Lots of lovely food there Bev.

You're making me yearn for some of my favourites from good old WPE. I honestly could eat there every day. The last few visits I've been missing out on having breakfast there. Big mistake, as it all looks so yummy.

I really love the pitas at Mara (and the zebra domes) but I didn't know about the salmon dish. Looks really delish and just my sort of thing. Think I'll be getting that next time we go there.

I might try Cookes of Dublin next time too. I rather like the look of that high sided pie.

Shame about your experience at the Cantina in Mexico, we've enjoyed it in the past but your food sounded very disappointing. Molly's face says it all

Thanks Bev great thread! I had free qsdp last year & enjoyed it, especially the choices at POR, build your own pasta & build your own salad. Definitely not just burgers/fried chicken - I'm veggie & had neither of them! I think I may have had a veggie burger in mk @ peco bills because I love the toppings bar!
Have to say the paper plates didnt bother me either & I felt full the whole time, we even had 10 meals left...

All the counter service credits are the same, the system doesn't distinguish between adult or child. On our key card it had 3A1C which is supposed to mean you can only order 3 adult meals at one time.
In practice most CMs don't care, but to avoid potential issues DH and I ordered 2 adult meals each when we wanted to get an adult meal for Molly.

1 piece, you can see it in the photo. It wasn't as nice as fish from our local fish quay. I would recommend the pie instead.

This is really really useful, thanks.
We are doing the CSDP next year staying at POFQ and I was a bit concerned about the choices especially for the kids, this has really put my mind at rest.
Just out of interest, what do people use their snack option for?
