Getting the best out of Disney dining plans

Hi guys here now & have just had my first day on QSDP. I'm not a big breakfast eater so wanted to opt for the lunch and dinner rather than breakfast and dinner.
Had my lunch in Peco Bills and the cashier told me I had to have a entree, drink and a pudding or I will lose it. Was wanting to save that option for my dinner.
Will I have to have breakfast and dinner or breakfast and lunch. Please help 🙁

You can have whatever meals you want - it's entirely up to you. Breakfast meals are entrée and drink and lunch and dinner meals are entrée, dessert and drink. Were you not wanting dessert or something at lunch? Maybe she meant that your lose the dessert if you didn't have it, but you wouldn't lose any full credits. We often shared, so between the 4 of us we'd use 2 credits at breakfast, 3 at lunch and 3 at dinner. We're not big fans of Disney desserts, so most of the time swapped the dessert for a side ( you can do this if it has a snack credit sign) which helped bulk out the meals.

No problem If that happens again then you can swap it for a side which is a snack credit or a bottle of water to take out with you

Can you swap the drink out at breakfast for a snack credit too or is it just at lunch/dinner?

Just wondering as we'll have resort mugs so won't always want drinks.

Yes you can. We swapped ours out for a large cereal bowl and milk for DS and a yogurt parfait for me all the time in April

Can I just double check if you are swapping Out your drink or dessert with your qs credit for a side can you swap it for the likes of a bag of trail mix, candy, crisp or cereal pot or has it to be the likes of extra fries, breadstick etc ?

Yes we often swapped either drinks or desserts and both at times if we used our mugs. Took away sweets, trail mix, crisps etc.

I guess next year with the ddp changing you will just get 2 snack credits for a qdsp credit
