Right then, according to my photos, today was Universal and IOA
We were late up so grabbed a banana each for the car. As DS hadn't eaten enough sweet stuff yesterday I decided this would be a suitable breakfast top up for him A Pecanbon from Cinnabon. He had a good go but said it was a bit too sweet and sickly. That kept us going until about 2ish so we went off in search of something quick. We decided City Walk would be good and selected Panda Express. It looked quite promising but holy macaroni this was hands down the worst meal of the holiday. Absolutely vile. I have no idea what that meat was but yeugh! That went in the bin and OH decided Nachos with queso would see us through until later. No photo but they were these from Moe's? Another borrowed pic I can't really understand how these were so bad?! The nachos were ok but the sauce? Well OH pointed out that it resembled a specimen which didn't help! We then had the giggles and DS didn't know why! Imagine cornflour, water and a smidgen of spice. Horrible. They were binned too and we gave in on the idea of food! Maggiano's was our choice for tonight. This was excellent and just what we needed. We weren't great with photos here. It's a little dark but a lovely atmosphere. I'd thoroughly recommend it. Starters to share were Courgette fritters with aioli and a tricolore salad. There was some bread too I think. Not much basil going on there actually but it was still very nice. Now for 3 borrowed pics. DS had a crab and shrimp cannelloni which he loved but did say looked like a bit of a car crash! I had a beef filet medallion dish with a Chianti sauce maybe? I have to say mine looked far nicer than this and was very good OH had Chicken Francese which he really enjoyed. No puddings again. We'd definitely come back here if it was convenient. We were staying at the Rosen and were able to walk there which was great. Edited at 12:55 PM. |

I think it depends when you're going.
These were all from stalls at the Flower and food fest. March - May possibly?

Today we were off to Aquatica which was a 1st for us all.
We knew we wouldn't be eating there so breakfast out seemed like a plan. Keke's at Dr Phillips was our choice. This was really good and we'd definitely go back. DS had pecan, banana and caramel stuffed French toast which was delicious I had the Florida Waffle And OH had the eggs benedict OH was slightly peeved about his eggs... He moans if eggs aren't properly poached and have been done in a mould but he did say it was very nice nonetheless. We're not big breakfast eaters but really enjoyed this. We felt it was a much nicer alternative to IHOP, Denny's etc. Off to Aquatica! We stayed most of the day and it was fun but I was freezing for no real reason so I didn't get particularly involved which was a shame. I have absolutely no recollection of what we ate afterwards, no clue at all so it can't have been anything special. We changed and made our way to Magic kingdom for the eve. Maybe we ate there? Not much to show you for today, sorry! * got it! It was Sweet Tomatoes. Not bad and very cheap. It's the kind of place I'd go to in a shopping centre at home if that makes sense but we felt it was a slight waste of a holiday meal considering our very long list. There's something for everyone and it's a good choice in between parks. Edited at 10:23 AM. |
