Travel day.

Up at 3.20 so starving by the time we got to Edinburgh airport - bacon roll and irn bru to start the trip... Epic fail - no picture...

Cooked breakfast on the BA flight to Gatwick. It was ok. I don't like egg so didn't eat the omelette looking thing, dh doesn't eat beans so he didn't eat the omelette thing. Ds ate everything!

For the first time ever we were able to go through flight connections. More security but nice and quick. We didn't have anything at Gatwick although there would have been time.

On board the choices were sausage and mash, ds had this, roast chicken with kale mash, dh and I had this. The other choice was pesto pasta.

There was also a superfood salad which was very nice and an apple and black currant cheesecake.

On the whole the BA plane good was actually pretty nice for plane food.

Plane landed on time but immigration took over 2 hours when you included the huge customs queue as well.

We were picked up by Florida magical tours, they were great. The Rosen plaza is nice.

We were shattered so we just went across the road to Johnny Rockets. We had eaten here 15 years ago and liked it.

Dh had a strawberry and banana milkshake with the smokehouse burger. He said it was really good and just right for travel day.

Ds had a vanilla milkshake and a grilled cheese, he says it was the best dinner he had had yet in America... He had some of everyone else's to lessen the pain of being forced to eat of the children's menu! To be fair the kids meal was a more than adequate size.

I had the Route 66 with mushrooms and a side of onion rings, it ha a really strong flavour but it was really good!

I also had a strawberry milkshakes, they really do make the best milkshakes.

Our server was lovely and our meal cost $50. We took a slow walk to Walgreens for supplies and were in bed by 10.

Day 1- very unhealthy- don't judge my parenting!
This morning I woke at 3.40am but got back to sleep till we all got up at about 6.30am. IHOP was the plan but we all just wanted to potter about so we had a Krispy Kreme donut instead.

We went to seaworld. Ds was happy as he got to ride Atlantis twice in a row as it was only a 5 minute wait. He decided against Kraken even though he fancied it before.
It was roasting so lots of water, sometimes with the robinsons squash!d and sprite.
Some Pringles as a wee snack then we discovered the pretzel kitchen on the way to the killer whale show.
We had a bacon pretzel twist with crisps, a sprite, a water and some cinnamon sugar pretzels. It was $21 and pretty good, we just shared it.

We left about 1.30 and jumped on the itrolley then shared a pizza in the room. Pepperoni $10 from the lite bite downstairs.
