:) Shares

If you have them for DLP, how did you purchase them please?
Through a stock broker?
Bank?
Thank you

Hi, I read the sticky at the top of this forum, tells you how to buy them. We opened a Halifax Sharedealing account (applied on Friday and just finished the online registration today). So far it's been easy, just can't buy the actual shares until we get the password through the post, though we might be able to buy them on the phone immediately.
But best place to start is the sticky on DLP Shareholders Club

Halifax act as a broker. Lots of people on here use Halifax because they are easy to use and don't charge a lot for the transaction.

Got mine through halifax, as i bank with them i did not have to wait for a password. Very easy and simple to do.

Have had my shares coming up for 2 years now and they have paid for themselves many times over

Don't forget you need 20 shares to join the shareholder's club without paying a fee.

got mine though halifax and didn't have to wait for a password either and I don't bank with them.

it took me 10 mins to set my account up and deposit the £100 minmum and I bought my shares the next morning - had the confirmation email and online docs in a couple of hours and posted the paperwork to DLP the next day.

it was very easy - the card arrives in 6 weeks, but they email you as soon as they have confirmed your membership (which took 5 days from me buying the shares).

I was really impressed on how quick and easy it was.

Wonder why we had to wait for a password through the post? I bank with the Halifax but we are buying the shares in DH name so he had to open the account. Anyway, it arrived today so I have logged in but too late to buy them as the markets had closed so I'll log in adain in the morning and buy them then.Thought about doing a limit order but decided just easier to log in during trading hours.
