Would you (or have you been..) go to Disney during Labour Day?

I have read differing things regarding Labour Day, some say the parks are not busy and others say they are rammed.
We are booked to go in October but that stay coincides with Columbus Day and all reports say this is a very busy time.
I was going to stick with October (2020) however I am now swaying to the 24th august 2020 for 2 weeks...

Any experiences and knowledge on this would be appreciated!

I'm not sure I've ever actually been in the parks on Labor Day (not knowing exactly when it is) but having been to Disney late August, early September on a few occasions the parks have never been rammed so far as I'm concerned. Why don't you look on the historic wait times for Labour Day last year to get some idea of crowd levels?

I'll take a look,I knew there was something else I could look on. I'm really not sure when to go, the amount of rain in August puts me off but the heat is appealing!

We never do weekends at all so can't comment on the Labor Day weekend sorry.

However we always go on the Monday and the Parks are fine. I suspect most people head home that day ready for work on the Tuesday.

We have been twice over Labour Day. Quite busy, but no worse than July/August. Usually noticeable reduction after the Monday as US guests leave. The two weeks after this used to be the quiet time in Disney, but not sure now.

Does that time of year get a lot of rain? Has anyone been on Columbus Day / weekend and can compare it with Labour Day?

Sorry but no-one is going to be able to predict what the rain will be like ! From experience : Rain in the afternoon, rain at night, roasting no rain, high humidity tbh a bit like the BBC weather predictions
Just think of it like any Bank Holiday, we avoid the weekend but Mon is usually quieter but these days there are no quiet times

We were at Magic Kingdom on labor day in 2016 and honestly didn't find it noticeably worse than any other day during our trip. We left the day after food and wine started and the crowds seemed worse then tbh.

Have been in Florida iver labor day twice. 2016 was no busier in magic kingdom than it had been for the rest of our 3 weeks. 2018 the outlets were busy, we didn’t go to a park as went shopping and drove down to Miami to fly home.

This will be our third trip over Labor Day, we are at Disney from 24 August then moving to Universal on Labor Day. We’ve always gone shopping to take advantage of the discounts rather than to the parks during the day. We plan to do the same again this year. We have been to both MK and Epcot in the evening on Labor Day and we found it noticeably busier than at other times.
