Loving reading all these posts as we are going to DLP for the first time in july and really looking forward to it. We have been to WDW 10 times with our last time being last November. This year we weren't planning on going anywhere as our DS(14) has a lot going on at school and we don't want him to have any disruptions, that and simply we cannot afford to go to WDW in the school holidays.
After Christmas, bearing in mind it had been a full 6 weeks since we had been at WDW a big black cloud was hanging over me, for the first time in years i did not have a Disney holiday to plan, look forward to and worst of all we didn't have A DIBB COUNTDOWN
I started pricing up DLP and after me mentioning to DH just a few times he started to warm to the idea. Within hours of him saying we'll look into it we had booked

It was my first Disney holiday in 1993 and the memories are amazing. I've been 8 times now and just love it even more I go.

The rides are much better than in MK. Crush's Coaster is brilliant!
I love being able to use a different language to get by.
It's so convenient to get to.
It's a much prettier park than the others in WDW.
It's where hubby and I had a mini honeymoon which was fantastic.
It's beautiful in the snow, great in the sun and hilarious in the tipping rain.
I love the hotels! My fave is Cheyenne but have stayed at the others

and I like France... but I did spend 5 summers there when I was younger so have an affinity to it, just love it!

One of things I love about DLP is that when you get off the Eurostar you can drop your bags at the Disney stop in the station and go straight into MK or The Studios or Disney Village and straight into the atmosphere for your Disney fix. Its also great to do on the last day so you can spend every last minute in the parks
I also love many of the other things other people have mentioned such as being able to walk back to your hotel relatively quickly, I personally have only ever stayed at Santa Fe which is the furthest away but then I got to 'tour' all the other hotels and it was still a lovely walk, especially in the evening.
I love that its so close, I'm not a keen flyer (hoping my mind will be changed after Oct this year! lol).
Even after going back to WDW this year I still wouldn;t think twice about going to DLP if I could afford it

Me too, but that said, for me DLP is like a comfy pair of joggers I feel I know it so well now.

OOOHHHH just realised this year will be my 13th visit encompassing Disney, is that unlucky

HHMMMM best get another Disney trip fixed up, guess that'll have to be DLP

1) Food is better then Florida. (The French make amazing brownies for example the actually taste of chocolate!)
2) Big rides are not tame like Florida. ( I enjoy getting should bruises from Space Mountain )
3) Proper winter weather, the parcs are amazing when covered in snow.
