Wow, you had beautiful weather for your trip out to Liberty and Ellis Islands - it really did make for some lovely photos.

Speaking of photos - the one with just the taxi coloured in yellow is so cool - as you know, I am photography-challenged, and forever taking snaps of the inside of my handbag or strangers' feet. I see "altered" snaps like yours and daydream about learning how to do them...but then never do.

Such a good ideas to put the Highs and Lows at the close of the report - no spoilers that way!

And......liked your Marilyn moment...

I can’t believe I didn’t think about photographing the rat! I’m so disappointed in myself

It was such a beautiful day, I miss the sky being so blue!

I’m afraid there’s no skill in the fancy photo, just a fancy camera

Interesting that you got through the SoL security and did so much on a morning. Ive seen horror stories about the queues. Looks getting the first boat out is well worth it.

We felt that we had quite a wait as it was, but everything I’d read recommended getting the first boat.
Ha thanks me too, even if I did shovel it in on the train!

I have just booked flights for 5 nights and am currently binge reading all NY trip reports ! We have older children ( well one child one adult ) so yours has been particularly useful.
Have read lots about the Broadway Plaza so it seems to be top of the list so far.
