Declining housekeeping for a voucher?
Seen alot of american sites suggesting this as a way to get back approx $10 per day on a gift card rather than using housekeeping. Is it something us brits can do and how? What if you want some housekeeping just not every day?

Yep, it's everyone, even us Brits.
You have to ask on check in and it's $10 per day minus 1 day as it's already been cleaned. It's all or nothing though so you can't do every other day or anything. If you need a resupply of towels, coffee or anything just ask and it will be delivered to your room or you can speak to a maid when you see them. |

You can't do this in Deluxe Resorts I believe, it is only available for Moderates and Values I think

If you opt to not have Mousekeeping you can request a room clean during your stay at a cost of $10.

We weighed this up and to be honest I'd rather have a clean room and towels when we get back after a long day. Theres nothing better than a properly made bed to crash into.

I got this last month when I stayed at AOA for a week, they just asked me on check in if I wanted it. And you can get it on an actual gift card not just linked to email.

Is the gift card for anywhere at Disney? Might be good for DS as his spending money for the holiday (as long as he makes his own bed!)

They asked us when we checked in at POFQ, we did it $130.
They are pushing it, we got a phone call (standard) a few hours later, telling about it again. In the 14 night stay, we had a room check twice (that we know ). The only thing is that we had to stay in our room for the delivery of the towels and so. No probleem, they usually came within an hour after calling. |

Is it right that this is just for value / moderate hotels? We’re staying 10 nights in a deluxe and 4 in a value. 10 days might be too long to go without a proper room clean anyway, so could we do this for the 4 nights in AOA? Is it the same amount back regardless of which hotel?
