JFK airport indirect flight

Hi. Anyone got any experience of indirect flights via jfk? Looking at flights with a 2hr layover.

Never done it but last time we went into JFK immigration took ages... well over an hour .add on deplanning time collecting your luggage recheckinv luggage getting to next gate etc so I wouldn't book a 2 hour connection time .I would want longer

Yes that takes one step out but I still wouldn't do it at JFK with less than 3 hrs

JFK has 6 terminals, 4 of which receive international flights. Need a bit more info on the airline(s) and routes involved, to give more relevant advice.

Going indirect via JFK in July. VA booked us a 2hr 45m window. I have heard even that amount of time could be tight 😳

We are too, although originally a 3 hour layover, now it’s 4. I thought 3 was ok, 4 seems loooong☹️☹️

Although I'm not flying that route until Easter 2020, I only have 2hr 05 .

It’s Virgin Atlantic from Heathrow. I spoke to virgin directly and they said 2hrs will be enough time and won’t be a problem. Oh well it’s booked now so fingers crossed. Have flown indirect many times to Orlando and not once missed a connection. Not been to jfk though.
