Yes it's fixed Carolyn. Your photos are great so is your room at TI.

We loved Vegas when we went last year and hope to go again in 2008.

The Bellagio is truely a fabulous hotel, and one we would love to stay at next visit.

After you walk through the usual casino (nice and light and not at all smokey, although the table limits were quite high here), you get to a beautiful atrium, which I believe they change the theme of every few months.

It was here we found the most amazing chocolate fountain in a shop where the chocolate flowed from the ceiling.

The hotel was truely fabulous, including some more great shops including Giorgio Armani, Chanel, Dior, Prada, Fendi, Tiffany & Co., Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent to name a few. I was really lucky and Tony treated me to a fab necklace from Tiffany's

Next we went onto Ceasar's Palace which was next door. This is such a massive hotel and shopping complex...

I can't begin to tell you how big this place is, but the shopping bit attached to it (The Forum Shops) was like the Trafford Centre!

There were beautiful statues everywhere, and on the hour most of them came to life...

By this time we were getting a bit peckish (I kidd you not), so again, thanks to the research, I knew there was a Cheesecake factory in here somewhere.

Once there, we decided to share a burger and fries, together with the obligitory cheesecake (honest, we did share! )

Back to more shopping, and we saw our first curved escalators...

By now, we were getting very tired so decided to walk back via the Mirage hotel, which we decided to do another day.

The plan was to have a bit of a nap, and then venture out later, but our nap turned into a full night's sleep...

Next morning we were up bright and early so decided to try the hotel's coffee shop for breakfast. It wasn't that great to be honest!

As it was quite early we thought we would try Seigfried & Roy's Secreat garden at the mirage, but when we got there it didn't open until 11, and it was only 10am.

Instead we decided to have a nosey around the Venetial Hotel.

The hotel was very lavishly themed, but I wasn't that keen. It may have been because it was early but we were harassed something torron by staff wanting us to sign up for comps, shows etc, and all in all I was very disappointed with the hotel. We had originally decided we were going to go for a gondala ride, but having seen it decided against it.

Next up was the Scret Garden at the Mirage which I was really looking forward to. It cost $15 per person and was lovely. As we were there at opening it was nice and quiet which was a bonus. We stopped and watched the dolphins for a bit - I think they had 4 in total.

We then moved on into the secret garden bit to see the big cats

First up were the lions, 1 huge male and 2 females. They looked perfectly groomed!

We also saw white tigers, panthers and yet more lions

They were absolutely beautiful.

We then left and had a bit of a nosey around the Mirage hotel itself, which was maybe showing its age, but was great none the less. I think we played a few slots here too but no big wins...

On the way out, we passed another enclosure which houses white tigers. This is a large glass structure and the tiger was very playfull. He was splashing around in the water (well it was hot) before slumping down on a rock, much to the delight of the crowd - a typical showman!

As breakfast hadn't been that great, we decided to head back to the Wyn to try the buffet. The area where it was themed was stunning, and after about a 20 min wait we were seated.

As expected, the food was fabulous, so much choice and beautifully prepared.

After lunch, we had a bit of a wander before heading back to the hotel. Again, I'm sure we played a few slots (Blazing 7's was fast becoming a favorite) and maybe some roulette. I decided to head to the pool for a couple of hours whilst Tony carried on with the gambling! I have to say the pool area was quite small for the size of the hotel and VERY busy. It was OK for a couple of hours, but definately not the type of place for a quiet rest or sleep.

That evening we had pre-booked tickets for 'O' at the Bellaggio. This is a Cirque du Soleil show with a water theme. We had managed to get really good seats near the front, but it wasn't cheap - $330 for both of us. TBH, I wasn't really looking forward to this as I've never been into the circus, acrobatics or the like, but we thought we would try it whilst we were there.

I have to say it was amazing, but I probably wouldn't see another Cirque show. The music was lovely and some of the acrobatics was fantastic, but it just wasn't my thing. I'm ashamed to say I even slept through some of it. I think with Cirque you either love it or not. Thankfully Tony was a bit more impressed than I was, so it wasn't a wasted evening!

Walking back to the TI, it was great to see the strip of an evening, it really is a lively place.

We even managed to catch a couple of the fountain shows at the front of the Bellagio which were truely breathtaking...

As we were both a bit peckish but couldn't decide what to eat we decided to go to the Carnegie Deli in the Mirage on the way back and pick up a couple of sandwiches to eat in the room. On. My. God - we should have realsied these were not usual sandwiches when we felt the weight of the bag. Mine was turkey, and I can honestly say I'm sure there was a whole turkey in between the two slices of bread... Needless to say we left more than we ate!

Next morning was Tony's birthday (Fri) so after he opened his cards and a few presents in bed, we decided to head out to the MGM.

Some friends of ours had been to Vegas a few weeks before us and told us you could get your pic taken with lion cubs, so this was our mission for the morning.

We had been told it gets quite busy, so we inquired at the desk to see if it was happening today (there are only certain days the cubs appear), and we were in luck. As we were about an hour early we decided to grab a coffee and muffin at Starbucks for a birthday breakfast!

We were told the lion enclosure opened at 11 so at about half 10 we wandered back, expecting large queues, so we were suprised it was so quiet. Fearing we were in the wrong place (our friends told us the queues were huge) we nipped into the gift shop to check we were in the right place. Yes we were, and the best bit was that from the gift shop you could actually see the 2 lion cubs playing! They were just sooooooo cute.

I could have watched them all day, but the enclosure was just getting ready to be opened, and a small queue was forming, so off we went.

The MGM lion enclosure is basically a huge glass structure with a glass tunnel. They rotate the lions every day so that each lion only spends about one day there a week, and the rest of the time they are kept at a rance. We did hear the lions were actually shampooed before they came, and looking at them it was easy to see how that could be true, as they were immaculate. On any given day there could be 1-3 lions in the enclosure, males or females, but on this day we had 2 females. Their trainers were with then the whole time, and it was amazing to see them interact with each other. They were playing, nuzzling up etc and it was clear to see there was a LOT of love between lion and trainer. They were even doing that head butting thing that I do with my own cat Charlie at home! Unbelieveable and very touching to see.

Next it was time for us to meet the lion cub and have our pic taken. The cub was called Gino and I have to say it was quite emotional for me being that close and being able to touch him (albeit very briefly). I am happy to report the pic came out wonderfully and it is a memory I will treasure for ever, especially as I know that the animals were being looked after so well ( a big concern for me).

Next up we decided to try our luck on the MGM tables, and Tony's bithday luck must have been with him as he came out $200 ahead on the roulette.

This is Tony with his 2 x $100 chips

Next up was a look round New York New York which was across the street.

Again, another amazingly themed hotel with the casino area made out to look like Central Park. It even has a huge roller coaster running around the outside of it, but we didn't go on this as I was too scared and Tony was saving himself for the helicopter ride later that day.

We then decided to venture further south down the strip and see The Mandalay Bay hotel - very posh and a big hit with celebrities, apparently.

This is the hotel where they have the restaurant Aureole - this boasts a four-story wine tower with its very own Wine Angel Stewards, who ascend the tower to retrieve bottles on bungee cords no less!

We did debate having a look at the Shark Encounter here, an aquarium, but to be honest, we couldn't be bothered, and it was quite a walk to get to as the hotel is huge!

Next up was the Luxor hotel next door.

This was very dark inside and to be honest, didn't appeal to either Tony or myself. The theming is very well done, but it wasn't somewhere either of us would rush back to.

We then decided to grab something to eat. There is a row of shops that link the Mandalay Bay and the Luxor and in here I had read there was a great Burger place (The Burger Bar), where you could build your own burger. Basically you got a menu and you had to choose the burger meat, the bun and the extra's - anything from bacon to lobster. We both went for something quite simple and it was delicious.

As time was getting on, we decided to head back to our hotel as we were going on a Sunset helicopter trip over the Grand Canyon in a couple of hours.
