We had a new kitchen put in last year. White with sparkle bits for quarts backsplash and worktop. We have good quality white socks and they are really good as they blend in well. We replaced all socks when we moved in 14 years ago - no yellowing yet and if they did it is easy enough to replace. I’d stick with white

We are starting work next Monday. Builder is looking for 4 extra days, kitchen cabinet fitters don't have availability to fit until October. Quartz will be fitted few weeks after the kitchen
It was suppose to be 2 weeks job. I thought I could survive a month. Two months without kitchen will be really hard. |

I didn't realize that perfect fit are type of blinds! They sound nearly too good to be true, great to read positive reviews!

We did kitchen extension and new kitchen 2.5 yrs ago - took 9 weeks but felt like 9 years! So much dust everywhere… and people…. Just wanted everyone out and not having to do my washing up in the bathtub 😂. It will be worth it though - I wuickly forgot the pain and thought ”why didnt I do this sooner”.
Your kitchen looks lovely - it will be amazing when finished. To see how much space you need on top of your doors if you decided to go for curtains and not blinds, I have attached a photo of ours.

Fantastic progress, I remember our first couple of days being similar but then it wasn’t so obvious due to it being more fiddly prep work! So lucky for even a months job without a kitchen, we were nearly 3 months😭
With the beam, I would def go back up to proper height. It is more work for them to box round beams but the lower ceiling even on a small bit wouldn’t be for us. Good luck and look forward to seeing more progress😉

It's lovely to see progress but yes, I expect it will be less visible daily. I can't wait to get my new kitchen
