Stamp postage from US to UK

Hi there,

I am wanting to send some postcards from the US to the UK when I am on holiday and wanted to ask what stamp I would need? Can I buy stamps from a stamp machine or would I need to go to a post office? Also, what sort of stamp do I require?

Thanks!

You need the international "global forever" stamp, it's $1.15 per stamp. Just ask for international stamps, there's only one kind for postcards/letters.

It's been a long time since I bought stamps there but from memory, I always had to go to a USPS store when mailing international. Domestic stamps were fine to buy elsewhere (e.g. Walmart, Publix) but they didn't carry the international ones. May be different now - I don't do postcards any more.

the only place we could find for stamps is a USPO. There is one in Celebration.

We gave up sending postcards back in the mid 90's. We used to post them in the middle of the first week and on a three week holiday they still arrived after we had got home
Dreadful service.

All UPS shops sell stamps. There are many around often in strip malls etc. Put the cards in an envelope and send them letter rate only a couple of cents more and they arrive within the week.

Another post office on US27, not far past Walmart, North of Cagans Crossing. Global stamps were $1.20 each in June. Postcards arrived in about 7 days of posting. People still like to receive them.

In the past we've bought international stamps for postcards from City Hall at MK. You can also get them from the little gift shops outside the parks. There's also a convenient postbox at the entrance to MK where you can post your postcards. I liked the idea of sending postcards from MK (rather than from some company in the Channel Islands).

This was about 4 years ago or so and therefore may have changed recently.

If you are visiting MK, the little shop to the left of the entrance sells stamps. They also stamp postcards with a castle image. I’ve sent pixiedust postcards using these stamps, back to the UK
