EMH at Hollywood Studios - Touringplans has me NOT doing Slinky Dog first.

Can that be right?

It recommends:

8.08 - Alien Swirling Saucers
8.29 - Toy Story Mania
8.48 - Slinky Dog Dash

It says Slinky will be a 26 minute wait at 8.48, but over 40 minutes if I do it first.

Surely that's not right?

It could be right. I think the logic is that most people who are attending EMH arrive at or towards the beginning of the hour. Most people head to SDD first so the queue swells. (At this point Disney also bump the displayed wait time right up to dissuade new joiners - people do not spend money whilst stood in queues). People move though the queue but there are fewer people joining the queue because there are minimal people arriving newly in to the park during EMH (they all arrived at the start) so the actual wait time drops. Meanwhile the wait times for the other rides shoot up as people come off SDD and fill those queues instead.

Yes, I would say that most will leg it to slinky so you will walk on the others, then the bulk will be moving through the line so wait times drops.

We did EMH. When we got to TSL, saucers and mania were walk on and done very, very quickly.

We had a fast pass for slinky later in the day so headed back to do star wars meets. The line at this point for slinky was massive. Way back towards centre stage. Once we went back for slinky, the line was much shorter. Still long but not bonkers as it was first thing.
