Disney or universal
Hi I’m after some advice, we’re
heading to Orlando next September. I already have universal tickets, but I am debating not doing Disney. I’m not sure I can justify or afford another £1600 on top. It’s my eldest boys birthday while we are there so really want to take him to discovery cove to swim with the dolphins. Is there a cheaper way of doing Disney? We would love to visit animal kingdom and Hollywood studios. Just worried I’ll regret not doing Disney. Can you get 2/3 day tickets over there? Thanks Laura |

Disney (on the US site) and many american ticket sellers have tickets from 1 to 10 days. You can add hopping and water parks. Disney encourages people to stay with them by making the per day cost higher for shorter stays so you pay perhaps 1/3 per day for 10 days as you do for three.
Last time I bought short tickets it was about $250. for two day tickets (with hopper) |

Whenever we've been in previous years we've stayed offsite. We have bought 14 day unlimited tickets for universal and then 2 or 3 day tickets for Disney. We got ours from Orlando attractions.com where you stipulate how many days you want and what date you want them to start. You need to compare as it may be more expensive than a 7/14 day ticket as there is often offers on. On our last trip we also did Busch gardens and sea world...tickets all purchased from Orlando attractions. You need to look on the Disney worldwide tab.

Yes, you can.
You can buy them at the park entrances. You can also buy them online before you go - either from Disney's American website, OrlandoAttractions.com or UndercoverTourist.com. The price varies depending on the date you select and the options you choose. If you just want to visit one park per day, then you'll probably just want the Base tickets. A 2-Day Base ticket costs between $202 to $238 (+tax) - so somewhere around £175 per person. A 3-Day Base ticket costs between $294 to $345 (+tax) - so around £250 per person. Oh, and welcome to the DIBB!
