BA Twilight Check In

Hello Dibbers, we fly down to Gatwick the day before our flight to Orlando at the beginning of December and stay overnight at Premier Inn. If we use the twilight check-in at Gatwick, is this at a check-in counter with a person or is it like an automated terminal? Has anyone had problems or is it quite reliable as we are worried our cases get mislaid. Any advice is most welcome. Thanks a lot. Andy.

when we went last year you could choose, someone will hopefully be along with more recent experience...

We went to the desk (I'm a worry-wart) there was no queue at 6.30pm at either the machines or the desk. Had no problems at all.

We do this all the time, there seems to be fewer assistants around but there is always someone to help. It is very quick and simple.

We have done the Twilight check in each time we have flown from Gatwick as we live quite near but can never fit all the suitcases in the taxi the day we fly so drive up there the night before in our own cars, dump the cases and then can relax the day we fly. We have had no problems at all and it means we can just go straight through the day of our flight. Enjoy.

Have only done BA twilight once, but Virgin do the same service, and have never had a problem.
