Security at airports with a baby!

Hi all,

Could anyone confirm if the security opens the sealed ready mix/made bottles of milk and all the baby food pouches you’d take with you? I know they test sterilised water but wasn’t sure on the pre made stuff as it’s got a time limit on how long it can be open and not refrigerated etc.

Hope someone can help. Thank you.

They do not open them so you will be ok. Although coming back through FLL as they were the cartons which are lined they said I would need to submit to a body search and check of my bag for explosives etc. But again they did not open the milk. They suggested the plastic bottles rather than cartons.

On the way out we didn't have to open anything, all liquids were scanned separately, but on the way back in mco they were scanned and then we were asked if we wanted the bottles tested or a full body pat down and full bag search, we opted for the bottles as he was old enough for the bottles to be kept open for a few hours (it wasn't going to harm him) and 10 years back all bottles were prepared for the full day.

Nope they definitely don't open them so you'll be ok
