I know its only 3 increase but this is becoming a factor in off site accommodation when budgeting. We go every 9 months or so so an ap works for us but if not thats a lot of cash.

Can I ask if this happened for you? I had read this as well and messaged Universal before I went to clarify the parking charge (didn't mention that I'd heard there was a discount for longer stays). I was told there was no discounts and it was the full $22 per day and when we stayed (Sapphire Falls) we were charged the full amount? Maybe we were unlucky.

Unfortunately not, there are no parking discounts with an AP at the hotels.

I payed cash when we checked in and was charged $168 for our 14 night stay. Was expecting to pay more but was told it's only $12 per night when staying 10+ nights.

It is what it is. We have no control over it. Yes all in its costing us an extra $33 overall in parking above the $242 that we will have to pay.

The free shuttle is available from hotels on international Drive, so there are options out there.
