But it won't help with the hard to get FP+ like FOP and SDD. Take a look at the FP+ availability sticky to see what has already gone at 60 days.

I agree. We're onsite for 3 nights but no chance of these as they're booking at least 63 days ahead or more. Will just keep checking for cancellations.

Also agree, at 60 days we could not get slinky, sdmt, Pandora.

However there is a huge benefit, using the fantastic fast pass availability checker I have just managed to blag them all😂🤣 and more than once.

It seems half an hour ago a huge glut appeared and I got them all twice (2 days at each park) on the exact days I had planned anyway!

What my 1 night throwaway campsite booking did was allowed me an extra 30 days to search, yes I may have got them at 30 days or less but I bet I would not have done as well as booking at 48 days as I have just done.

A huge relief!

am i missing something?

If i am staying offsite for 2 weeks whats stopping me from booking the cheapest Disney Hotel (All stars / Campsite fort wilderness) for the first night and not even stay there.

I would then get 14 days worth of 60 days FP and a magic band? i would probably get free parking for a day as well.

Exactly this. 2 days free parking too. We did this in May and are booked again for 1 night next year.

Norhing, it’s even cheaper if you book one night at the campsite, that’s what I did, £65 and we get 4 x magic bands, 60 days fast pass bookings and 2 days parking.

We are not going to go to Disney the first night we arrive. Am I better booking accommodation for the following day, start fast passes , parking etc from this day.
If this is the case what is the earliest time we can pick our magic bands up and how do we check in for parking.

When you arrive at the campsite a chap on the gate will direct you to a cabin to do your collection.
In May, after checking in at fort wilderness, we only had to scan our magic bands with the parking attendant in the booth at the parks. We didn’t need any paper tickets. Has this changed recently?

No, it is the same. Parking is automatically on magic bands. No paper tickets needed.
