The notices have always been there, people just ignore them or don't read them! It's a huge health hazard and that's why they ask you to use a disposable cup first.
If a certain amount of people fall ill during the cruise, they stop the self serve completely and will have crew members pouring your drink for you.
For the fact your friends are platinum makes it worse!

Yes, brunch is now offered on Nassau days as so many people were staying on board!
