Horse riding

Anyone know where we can do horse riding for beginners. DD's will be 7 and 10 and are very tall.

Any trail ride would be fine for beginners, They basically use a Western Saddle and all they have to do is sit.

I took my DD for a hunter jumper ride many years ago but I couldn't find the stable. It was off 192. Her university equestrian team also did a "camp" a couple of miles from Disney but I can't seem to find the facility.

Trip Advisor has a list of the ten best places to ride, most are trail rides. The Disney rides are Ft. Wilderness gets good reviews, but they are "trail rides" not really riding, according to my equestrian.

There is a popular horse show in Ocala, about an hour away from Orlando if they want to watch. The best (most competitive) is called HITS (Horse Shows in the Sun) and is in January-March but there are other shows year round.

We went a ride suitable for beginners at wilderness lodge think it was DD ranch check it out via Disney website def suitable for your kids and we really enjoyed it

The Lazy H Ranch is brilliant! Horses are lovely and so are the guides, highly recommended to me by a friend and was the best place we've been.
