Have you looked at tours? We did a day visit from Orlando with a bus tour. went to everglades and did air boat ride. Then we were dropped off at south beach for a few hours and then rounded up by a boat tour around harbour and to see houses of rich and famous. It was nice not having to drive.

It was a long day but quite good fun. I enjoyed a taster of Miami but don't think I'd particularly want to go and stay there!
