Cruise in Hurricane Season?

DBF and I are looking into a 7 night cruise on 4 Oct 08 which will be my birthday but I am a bit concerned about it being Hurricane season. Being on land at that time doesn't bother me so much, but being out to sea is another matter. We cant afford to go any earlier in 2008 and I just liked the idea of going for my Birthday, but just wondering what you would do? Would you still go or wait and go March/April/May 09.

Thanks

well I'd still go! We booked a cruise (the western carib) in October 2005 and there was a really bad hurricane if you remember. They didn't cancel our cruise but we cruised to the Eastern ports instead We had a great time, and the DCL would not sail if it's dangerous so you know you'll be ok!

Thanks Angel. Do you know what happens if the Cruise does not sail. Does Disney find you accomodation or do you have to do this yourself?

Not sure, as I think this must be very rare! I know I heard that one year they bussed people down to somewhere else in Florida instead to get the ship from there... but it still sailed!
