Winter Park a relatively easy drive east on I-4 to junc 87 I recall. Sorry I don't know where Kelly Park is but Google Maps is your friend

You can hire tubes cheaply from outside the park - $5 I think they were. there were plenty of lifeguards when we were there- at every stretch of the river and at the swimming area. The lifeguards set off an alarm if they find a gator in the tubing area - a very loud siren went off when we were there. They said there was a large alligator and we had to get out! They also get people out if there is a storm.
I'd advise taking a picnic, and also wearing water shoes/crocs in the tubing bit - when you get to the end of the tubing river you have to walk to the beginning again
This made me laugh somehow. Crocs and gators, one so soft and squishy and gentle on your feet - and the other ... not

I can advise kajakking in Florida is a must do!
Try the search in our blog and type ( Kajak ) there a lot of kajak tips.
Must do's Silver River, Kings Landing, Weeki Wachi Kajak !

Question just shout, we love outdoors in Florida!
Mount Dora market has moved away from the lake to 4th Avenue. It is very small about the same size as Celebration if not a bit smaller.

I am ashamed to say that before this thread I had never heard of Kelly Park :shame:
I've been to Wekiwa Springs State Park a couple of times and according to Wikipedia it is next door: en.wikipedia/wiki/Dr._Howard_A._Kelly_Park. It looks idyllic!
