Three mobile usage

I was in today getting my Three sim cards for our florida trip and the guy told us the package ..ie min texts and data will not cover the destinations of the cruise on the Dream as its not the united states but comes under a different area they tell me i will be charged �2a min for calls and 40p a text..what has others found

I'm on 3, and was charged for calling home from Nassau.

I was ok in San Juan but can't remember about St Thomas or St Maarten. The 3 website used to be pretty good at showing which islands were included but I haven't looked recently.
