First Visit, First Day, First Attraction?
Hi All
It's coming up to our FastPass opening for our very first trip to Disneyworld Our first full day will be at Magic Kingdom and it is an EMH day (we are on site). This has got me thinking about what we'd like to ride but also what we'd like to do during the hour. What would be the first thing you would do? I completely understand wanting to utilise that time as best we can, but conscious I don't want to speed walk up main street and rush off to an attraction without stopping and taking a moment to fully appreciate the 18 months worth of planning that's gone in to making this an unforgettable trip. I'd love to hear what others did on their first visit and / or any suggestions you have. There will be one child in our party of 4 (age 7) |

Buy an autograph book from the stall as you go in and then get photopass pictures on Main Street soaking in the magic.

Definitely get some pictures. Leave exploring the shops properly till later. Don't rush (or try not to)
We haven't done an EMH visit so don't know what to expect from that. You will want to head straight to a ride you haven't got a FP+ for. |

For our first day on our visit we had a reservation booked for breakfast at Be Our Guest. We strolled down Main Street first at 8am and had pictures taken with the photographers on the way. We finished eating just before the park officially opened and walked on to Buzz lightyear space ranger spin as we didn't have a fastpass booked for this.

Thanks for the replies. Definitely first task is to get an autograph book and I think the pics on Main Street are in order. Maybe a character visit too if any are open during EMH.
We have a breakfast reservation at Crystal Palace a little later in the morning, so looking forward to that It's all starting to become so real |

I'd take my time walking up main street and getting some photos
Then I would head left into Adventureland and have a quick go on Aladdin's Magic carpets just as a taster. Then I would head through to Frontierland and do Splash Mountain before the queues build up too much. I would time my fastpasses to start around 10am , have breakfast late morning (as you are doing ) then do my other 2 fps My fp+ with a 7 year old would be Splash, 7 Dwarfs and Tomorrowland speedway. |

Take a slow walk up Main Street. Soak it in. Don't rush to a fast pass. I'd think about a character fastpass for the first day. Mickey or Minnie.
And big thunder or splash for later in on the day. |

As others have said definitely a slow stroll up Main Street taking in all of the sights, sounds and smells (you will always remember it) and plenty of photos. Then head to either Splash Mountain, Seven Dwarfs mine train or a favourite of ours for the theming Under the Sea-Journey of the little mermaid.

We see Mickey first thing first day, either a meet and greet or an ADR for breakfast. It just makes the magic real for us and it's hard to tell which member of the family is more giddy.
Have to admit I am still a little in denial about not seeing them come in on the train. I think we might just watch it on a YouTube video while we wait to go in. ...only slightly joking. |
