Clearwater advice needed
Hello, we were planning to visit Clearwater for a day on our trip - we go next week, but I have started to get worried whether it will just be too much in terms of heat and direct sun for the day. We would be using a driver so would need to spend the whole day there. We were planning to go on the seascreamer and also watch the sunset from one of the restaurants. If we do go is there anywhere to duck into eg shops, indoor attractions either to cool off in some air conditioning or to shelter in the rain ? Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks, Liz |

We went to Clearwater when it was really hot and went on little Toot to see the dolphins... we did see the Seascreamer and i think i recall it had a canopy on the boat for shade. Plenty of places to sit in the shade and have a bite to eat etc and of course, there will be brollies to rent.
I really love Clearwater and haven't had any problems filling the day doing the things we love to do as tourists on the beach but keep hydrated and you will love it |

You will have a fantastic time there. Plenty of places for shade/cover as well. Recommend Palm Pavilion for dinner watching the sunset - restaurant right on the beach

Would you recommend Little Toot or seascreamer as we are also going but don't want to do both ?

Sea screamer is very exhilarating, but little toot is a little sedate.
We like little toot best as it's close to the water and easier to take video and photos. Plus I like the commentary they give as we go along the waterways! Which ever you choose you will have a fantastic experience. Then head down the marina to the quirky bait house right at the bottom of the marina for lunch... you won't be disappointed! |

Thanks for the replies. So what time is preferable ? Thinking about the 3pm or 5pm Little Toot time.

i would go in the AM/lunchtime
above you risk the afternoon thunderstorm, which at best you may get wet , at worst maybe the trip dosnt run? fwiw we prefer seascreamer more of a thrill ride on the open ocean as above plenty do / see in clearwater, there are a few 'tat' shops selling beachware etc you can dodge into for a cool off |

Definitely Little Toot for us, last time we went we also went a trip from Clearwater Marine Aquarium (home of Winter from a Dolphins Tale) which was one of the highlights of the trip.
