Disney med cruise review!
We sailed the last 7 night disney med cruise before the ship went into dry dock, just about over the disney blues as we are booked on next years transatlantic with family
Booking via disney cruise website: We have booked three disney cruises directly on the website, this year in £ as it was cheaper with the exchange rate. We have never had any problems, all requests such as a private table for family honoured and a quick response. Personally I would rather book direct then have a middle man and there were a few people that complained about their travel agent on our facebook group. Easyjet flights: Flights were fine, and Barcelona airport is easy to negotiate. Coming back from Barcelona was really busy and a long check in queue for a number of Easyjet flights with very few staff so make sure you are at check in 2 hours before as they were having to take people at the queue as they were waiting so long. Suntransfers: Great transfer service to and from the airport, with a professional driver. Car also had a car seat as requested which was important for us as we have a toddler. Hilton Diagonal del mar: We stayed here the night before and after the cruise. disney uses this as one of their hotels. We booked via expedia for about 50% less than disney and then booked the transfers with disney . The hilton was lovely, highly recomended for families. Its a short walk to the beach and there is a playground and great shopping centre and restaurants across the road. The area was really popular with local and the hoho bus has a stop next to the hotel. Hoping to book here again next year. Disney transfers: I was keen to book these as well as the usual luggage we had a toddler and a pushchair. We had the cases picked up in the hotel room at 8am and they were outside our stateroom at 1:30pm when we went to see the room Transfers were via coach (only half full) with DCL staff, mickey hands and DCL videos on the coach. It really got us in the holiday mood! The DCL staff at the hotel were really helpful as well and sorted out HOHO tickets etc for us. We got to the ship for 12:30 and were straight on board. Would recommend these for ease. Overall cruise: Fabulous, loved every minute of it, we thought the food was better than the last one and the staff were great with my daughter especially at dinner where she behaved like and angel every night (my main worry!). Stateroom: We were in 7120 a category 7a with an obstructed view verandah. The obstruction was minor and good value for money if you can get your hands on one of these (there are only 4). Loved deck 7 for getting around and it was really quiet. Toddler friendly activites: My daughter loved the character meets and we took her to the toddler activities such as the pirate and princess party, toddler time etc. All were great my only complaint would be if you have older children please bear in mind these are for little ones. We found these were sometimes taken over by older children. I did pass comment on this, and later on in the week the activities were moved to a quieter location as they agreed it wasnt working. The splash area was great for daughter she would have stayed there all day! Lifeguards will request children 5+ leave this area as it is for littlies. Its a small world nursery was also great with my daughter, she went for naptimes in the afternoon and was happy when we left he each time. I will be honest and dont think she spent much time playing as she seemed to sleep all afternoon (too much fun in the morning! ) but she settled there straight away and the staff were really good with her. We also made us of the open houses for kids clubs and she loved this, we went to storytime with belle etc. Great (for big kids as well as little kids!) P.s. If you have time in Barcelona visit Primark - they have amazing disney tshirts, in the normal t shirt style for ladies not the unflattering ones the UK seems to sell. There was loads of choice and most reduced to 2 euros!

Sounds like you had a wonderful time! Good to know that SunTransfers were good as we have booked them for Saturday. Also very helpful to know that they try to move older kids away from the splash area. We will have a just turned 3 year old with us and he's a little dot.
Thanks for sharing and welcome home.

I think my son will be the same. He isn't toilet trained either so no pools for him. But it's nice that there is an area where he can have some water fun.
